This is a fine 19th-century embroidered linen lawn wedding handkerchief. It is embroidered around the edge with nosegays of flowers and other whitework. There is one tiny pale yellow mark on the handkerchief (please see photo), as well as a small tear in the lace trim (please see photo in upper righthand corner). Despite these minor flaws and considering the fact that this handkerchief dates to the 1800s and is hand-embroidered and trimmed with hand-made lace, this is quite a treasure. It is in extraordinary condition and is magnificently beautiful. Imported from a well-known lace expert in Sussex, England, UK.

1 handkerchief, measuring 17" x 17".
